 Militants on Monday lobbed a grenade at a police post in the apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.

 Official sources said that militants hurled a grenade at a Police post in Sopore Bus Stand in Baramulla on Monday. “The grenade missed the target and exploded at a distance,” they said, adding no one was injured in the attack.

 They said the militants managed to escape from the spot during the chaos created due to the blast, adding additional security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attacker

This was the second grenade attack in the district on Monday. Earlier today, seven civilians, including two women, were injured in a grenade attack y militants on an Army convoy at Azad Gung in Baramulla.
